Specialty Magnetic Primer

Rust-Oleum® Magnetic Primer is a paint that can transform ordinary surfaces into ones that attract magnets! This paint comes in dark grey and has a matte finish, and can be used alone or covered with latex paint or Rust-Oleum Chalkboard Paint for a double-duty surface. It is suitable for interior use on wood, metal, masonry, drywall, and plaster. To ensure optimal results, always adhere to the instructions provided.

For best results

• Thoroughly stir the paint before application, as the metal pigments tend to sink.
• Constantly stir while painting so the pigments don’t start sinking. Take at least 10 minutes stirring and mix until it is smooth.
• Utilize 3 coats of the primer to take full advantage of its magnetic properties. Allow 30 mins in between each coat.
• Apply a maximum of 2 coats of latex or chalkboard paint atop the primer.
• Use a dense foam roller, making up-and-down strokes that slightly overlap. Doing so will generate an even and polished surface.
